FREE Impact NeuroCognitive Baseline Testing

ImPACT Testing is a brain injury measurement tool designed for baseline and post-injury traumatic brain injury (concussion). Through a series of computerized tests administered through a simple computer connected to the internet, ImPACT identifies subtle changes in brain function, evaluates post-injury condition, and tracks recovery. By comparing baseline (pre-injury) and post-injury test results, ImPACT can help determine the extent of damage following a concussion.  The ImPact test takes about 45 minutes to complete.

In an effort to grow awareness towards concussions and baseline testing, NDBC has agreed to provide FREE ImPact Baseline Testing for children aged 10-18, on a first-come-first-serve basis at our Roseville Concussion Baseline Testing Lab. After these three dates are full, no other free dates will be offered in this promotion, so book your appointment fast! Sign up below using our online scheduling system, there are 25 spots available each hour for the dates listed below.

While children are being tested, an NDBC physical therapist will provide parents/guardians a 30min presentation on all aspects of concussions, and will be available for any follow-up questions, it will be a great learning experience!

NOTE: You MUST register your child using our online scheduling system below, no walk-in testing appointments will be allowed.

"Good sportsmanship is all about the character and conduct of a player who reacts graciously during competition. It is important to show good sportsmanship in both victory and defeat. This means sincerely congratulating an opponent when he has won the match and not gloating or acting pompously toward an opponent when you have won a match."

Try Hockey For Free Day wrap up

CCM_Golf_Benefit_NewMore than 11,000 kids across the United States tried hockey on Saturday, November 5th, as part of Try Hockey For Free Day. The event was a cooperative effort of Minnesota Hockey, USA Hockey and the NHL. In Minnesota, 44 associations hosted an event and introduced the game to hundreds of kids who are new to the sport (including some happy kids pictured above from Osseo/Maple Grove). Thank you to all of the associations and volunteers who were part of Try Hockey For Free Day!

If you have Edgcumbe Hockey equipment, a game jersey, (or equipment to donate) please contact Annemarie McConville or Cate Dombrow or Edgcumbe Equipment.

Attention!!

MN Hockey would like to remind all hockey players and parents that mouth guards MUST be attached (tethered) to the helmet.
This clarifies rule 304(c) for Mouthpiece violation. The referee may issue a warning before assessing a "misconduct" penalty.

Rule 304(c) is clear that all players, including goalkeepers, are required to wear a colored (non-clear) internal mouthpiece that covers all the remaining teeth of one jaw, customarily the upper.

The American Development Model (ADM) provides age-appropriate guidelines and curriculum to hockey associations across America to help more kids play, love and excel in hockey. Brought to you by USA Hockey, in partnership with the NHL.
